Home visit appointments are available on Mondays and Tuesdays between the hours of 10am and 3pm. We require that appointments are made at least by the Friday of the preceding week. On requesting a home visit appointment you will be offered available time slots and we will confirm the arrangements with you on the day of your appointment.

The cost of a pre-booked home visit is £20.00 in addition to our usual fees.

Prices for the pre-booked home visits are for within a 7 mile radius from the surgery.

Please note that any medication dispensed is not included.

For home visits outside of the pre-bookable slots our emergency visit fees will apply

For more information about our home visit service or to book a visit appointment please call the surgery on 01920 468874.

Chestnut's Health Club

Comprehensive veterinary care at an affordable price

When it comes to looking after your pet’s health and wellbeing, preventative care is always the best option. Waiting until your companion is unwell can lead to a painful and drawn-out course of treatment for your furry friend, which can result in a hefty medical bill for you.

It’s for this reason that Chestnut Vets have created  Chestnut’s Health Club. Becoming a member means your pet will receive all the essential preventative healthcare they need.

The cost of your pet’s membership is spread out for you into easy and affordable monthly payments.

What is included in  Chestnut’s Health Club?

Everything your pet needs to give them unrivalled protection from parasites plus regular veterinary checks, including:

Health consultations – Your pet is entitled to two health consultations with a vet 6 months apart  throughout the year. Your four-legged friend will be checked all over for any potential health issues, giving the best possible chance for any problems to be picked up and treated as early as possible.

Vaccinations and boosters – Vaccination is the best way to protect your pet from a range of dangerous diseases all year round, with annual boosters ensuring their defence remains as strong as possible. Your companion will enjoy a full programme of vaccination as part of  Chestnut’s Health Club.

Parasite protection – Worms, fleas and other unwanted creepy crawlies can cause your pet endless frustration and discomfort, as well as putting them at risk from various diseases carried by parasites. Defending your companion from these creatures is a simple process and is included in their Chestnut’s Health Club membership.

Nurse clinics – Access to our nurse clinics with nurse consultations available as often as you need them.

Discounts off food – In addition to all of this great health care, when you sign up for the Chestnut’s Health Club you will also be entitled to a discount of 10% off all dietary foods sold in practice.

How do I pay?

To make Chestnut’s Health Club as affordable as possible, payment is spread out over the year. You will set up a monthly direct debit when you sign up, which means you can feel secure in the knowledge that your pet’s health care is already taken care of all through the year.

Vetsure pet insurance

We never want money to be an issue should your pet require treatment but there is also no doubt that the provision of high quality veterinary care can be costly.

We hope your pet stays in good health but, ask yourself, could you afford an unexpected veterinary bill of £2000? In the absence of a Pet National Health Service, lifelong pet insurance may offer the best solution for pet owners.

It is for this reason we suggest all our clients take out a good quality pet insurance product. We are a Vetsure-accredited practice and, as such, promote the Vetsure range of pet insurance products. As a recognised practice we benefit from active communication channels with the Vetsure team. This means that we can obtain pre-authorisation prior to starting treatment and can help make the claim process as easy as possible.

Vetsure makes it simple: We are part of the trusted Vetsure network. This means that Vetsure are happy for us to settle the bill directly with them when you make an eligible claim. After treatment you simply pay us the policy excess.

Vetsure for tailored cover: Pick and choose from a range of benefits and benefit levels to suit your budget. To further adjust your monthly premium, you can choose from a range of excess levels (£69, £109 or £149).

Vetsure cover for life: If your pet develops an ongoing condition like arthritis or diabetes, the vet treatment benefits offered will recharge every year for each condition*. Vetsure also only charge the excess once per unrelated condition – many insurers charge the excess every year – which can soon make costs add up.

Vetsure promotes the best of health: Vetsure offers optional Preventative Care Vouchers to help cover the costs of vaccination, neutering and worming.

*provided your premiums are kept up to date and your policy remains in place.

Vetsure pet insurarance special offer

In order to benefit from this offer, you can follow this link or pop into our practice and we will arrange for Vetsure to contact you and put your cover in place today!

At the point of contact Vetsure will help you understand the different levels of cover available. Whatever level of cover you choose, Vetsure will then give you the first 5 weeks free of charge*.  You can cancel at any time during this period without obligation. At the end of the 5 week period (provided you have not chosen to cancel) Vetsure will collect your first monthly instalment – this way, your pet will not have any potential ‘gaps’ in cover.
